What’s all the hubbub about the Re-Rate?
Back in 2023, I was much newer to many aspects of the genre, despite my great love for it. With a more critical eye, I wanted to reflect on these early ratings and see how they hold up!
How are these rankings determined?
I listen to these releases throughout the year, put them on a personal "first-impressions" tier list and get really into the writing and final rankings by December.
What do the tiers even mean?
Nothing much, just my opinion on how these releases stack up against each other. Please note that within each tier, the releases are unranked.
Why should I click on the albums?
You'll be given a chance to listen to the record, read a bit about the music, see other releases from the year that are similar and click the link that takes you to support the artists.
Why do you do this?
To document modern Emo and to shout out all the awesome artists that I listen to and discover.
Why aren't December releases on here?
I've decided that December is too late in the year to release something and have me consider it for ranking, as I'm working on the rankings during that time. I now include December releases from the previous year as part of these lists.
