Camping in Alaska attempts to channel old-school 2nd Wave Emo in this release, but wind up proving that their old material is still their gold standard. At three songs and sub-15 minutes, this is a breezy listen, but the originality is lacking a bit. If you enjoy Post-Hardcore influence in your Emo, this might be worth checking out.

Wow, why was I hating on this so much? I think my experience with CiA was limited to their twinklier masterpiece Please Be Nice, so I didn’t quite appreciate their transformation into this intriguing Second Wave Revival stuff. Guess I’ll have to put Eggbeater Jesus on the list…
